Dear Visitors,

my recent poll clearly showed some need for an English version of this website devoted to the line of America's Best Comics.

Well, I started translating, and you can see the first results here. Other parts will follow soon and I hope to have a complete and up-to-date English edition of this site by the end of this year.

Enjoy the texts and let me know if there are any mistakes or sentences which don't work (sorry, English is not my mother tongue...).

In 1999, celebrated comic book writer Alan Moore created a whole line of new comics called "America's Best Comics" under the roof of Jim Lee's "Wildstorm Productions" (an imprint of DC Comics). Its first book was the six-issue miniseries The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, followed by the ongoings Tom Strong (June 1999), Promethea (August 1999), Top 10 (September 1999) and an anthology called Tomorrow Stories (October 1999).

At the end of 2001, ABC released the spin-off series Tom Strong's Terrific Tales and Greyshirt: Indigo Sunset, which are generally not written by Alan Moore. In 2002 came the second volume of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. 2003 brought the mini-series Terra Obscura and Smax. In 2004, ABC published a second volume of Terra Obscura and a new mini-series called Wild Girl, written by Alan Moore's daughter Leah. A Top 10-Graphic Novel is scheduled for 2005.
